Oktoberfest food is hearty, traditional and delicious. The most iconic dishes are the Hendl (roast chicken), Schweinshaxe (pork knuckle), Bratwurst (grilled sausages) and the famous giant Brezn (pretzel). Most food is served directly at the tent tables alongside a freshly tapped Masskrug — the iconic one-litre beer mug. Vegetarian options are also available at most tents, including Käsespätzle (cheese noodles) and grilled vegetables.
